description Joseph Stewart Campground is closed seasonally from November 1 thru March 1. Stewart State Park is located 34 miles northeast of Medford on beautiful Lost Creek Reservoir. There are 201 campsites, hot showers, playgrounds, fenced off-leash pet area, hiking, and biking trails. In the spacious day use area there is a large swimming area, boat ramp, marina, boat rentals, restaurant and groceries. There are also 11.5 miles of bike and hiking trails through a lush conifer forest with year-round streams and ample wildlife viewing. BBQ trailer rental available at the park, call 541-560-3334 for reservations and availability.

importantInformation Only one vehicle is included in your camping fees. Two additional vehicles allowed at the site are charged a nightly Extra Vehicle fee. There is a maximum of three vehicles per site. If there are more than 3 vehicles, an additional site may be rented if available. Extra vehicle policy strictly enforced. The nightly Extra Vehicle fee is $7.00. Wide open campground offers little privacy between campsites. There is a steep hill to the lake and there are no waterfront campsites. There is no lake access from the campground. Note: B loop opens March 1 with Electric hookups only. No water in campsites until the threat of freezing passes. Water is available at the dump station and at campsite B-9. The restrooms will be fully functional. Water connections in campsites will be turned on for spring break only if there is a favorable weather forecast. Customer Awareness Alert: * Blue-green algae blooms occur at Lost Creek Lake, most often between April and September, however can occur during any time of the year. * If an outbreak does occur, swallowing or inhaling water droplets should be avoided, as well as skin contact with water by humans or animals. Current algae bloom advisories are found in the Recreational Advisories at http://public.health.oregon.gov * Fee waivers and/or adjustments will not be provided due to the presence of Blue-green algae. In the event of algae bloom, all cancel and change policies as defined by OPRD Administrative Rules will apply. There is an $8 reservation fee per site reserved. An $8 transaction fee is charged for any date or site changes made to an existing reservation. *Reservations for more than five nights/days that are later changed to fewer nights/days by cancelling nights at the end of the stay will only pay an $8 transaction fee. Reservations for more the five nights/days that are later changed to fewer nights/days by cancelling nights at the beginning of the stay will pay an $8 transaction fee and the nightly rate for each night cancelled. Please be aware that only the person whose name is on the reservation, their designee or the primary occupant may access, change or cancel the reservation. Reservations can be made 24 hours a day, from 1 day to 9 months in advance. Internet reservations become available at midnight.
